Knowledge exchange in Leiden: a GLUCOTYPES lab visit

From April 20 to 29, Marina Sangés Ametllé, PhD student at the University of Copenhagen and GLUCOTYPES team member, visited the Tissue Glycomics group at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). There, she joined the local GLUCOTYPES team — Noortje de Haan (PI), Juan Rojas Echeverri, and Niels van den Broek— for an intensive programme of lab work and glycomics data analysis. The visit was a success on multiple fronts: hands-on method transfer, knowledge exchange, and discussions about future directions within the project and between the two institutions.

“They are the masters of glycomics and I went there to learn how to do it — I got very nice expertise that I will be able to apply back in Copenhagen.” — Marina Sangés Ametllé
