How continuous glucose monitoring can help prevent type 2 diabetes?

A new article featuring the Glucotypes project has just been published in Revista Diabetes, the journal of the Spanish Society of Diabetes aimed at a broad, healthcare profesionnal readership. Written by Prof. Marcos Pazos-Couselo (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela), it explores how continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) — a technology central to our work in Glucotypes — is moving beyond diabetes management and into prevention. The article explains how CGM can detect subtle glucose changes before a diagnosis is ever made, shed light on how our bodies respond to different foods, and — when combined with artificial intelligence — pave the way for truly personalized nutrition strategies. Glucotypes is featured as a leading example of this new frontier.

The article is available in English and Spanish languages.
