Conference on Precision Nutrition: Bridging Science, Policy and Innovation

International joint conference by the European Innovation Council Pathfinder Challenge on Precision Nutrition and Sorbonne University ‘Alimentation Initiative’

Date: September 14th, 2026
Location: Sorbonne University International Conference Centre (CICSU), Campus Pierre et Marie Curie, 4 Place Jussieu, 75005 Paris (France)

A one-day conference to bridge science, policy and industry in precision nutrition

As diet-related chronic diseases continue to rise worldwide, the need to translate nutrition science into effective policy and practice has never been more pressing. On 14th September 2026, Sorbonne Université will host the Precision Nutrition Conference: Bridging Science, Policy and Innovation at the Centre International de Conférences, bringing together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, industry professionals, and students to explore one of the most exciting frontiers in modern health research.

How can precision nutrition move from the laboratory to clinical practice? What role should policy play in shaping how these innovations reach the public? And how can science, industry, and investment work together to bring precision nutrition to scale? These are among the questions the day will address.

A day of exchange across disciplines

The conference is co-organised by the Nutrimmune consortium, led by Professor Karine Clément, and the Initiative Alimentation (Alliance Sorbonne Université), with funding from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder programme.

The programme will include lectures and roundtable discussions with key figures from across the field, alongside sessions spanning the scientific foundations, clinical applications, commercial potential, and societal impact of precision nutrition. A dedicated showcase, led by EIC Programme Manager Gemma Pham, will present all eight projects in the EIC Precision Nutrition Pathfinder portfolio. A poster session will also give early career researchers and practitioners the opportunity to present their work. Lunch will be provided, followed by an evening drinks reception in the Jussieu Campus courtyard.

Open to all – registration required

Attendance is free and open to all, both in person and remotely. Whether you are a researcher, clinician, policymaker, industry professional, investor, student, or simply curious about the future of precision nutrition, you are welcome! The conference will be held in English, and can also be joined remotely for those unable to attend in person. Registration is required.
